Our Mission
Hi, I’m Mercedes,
I am committed to creating safe and nurturing spaces for foster youth and young adults transitioning out of care, where they can feel valued, supported, and empowered to become the best version of themselves. My mission is to ensure that their needs are met, and they have a stable environment that fosters growth and independence.
From a young age, I’ve been passionate about creating harmony and resolving conflicts. As a former conflict manager in elementary school, I developed essential skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving—skills I now use to help foster youth navigate the challenges of transitioning into adulthood.
Providing more than just a home, I strive to create environments where foster youth feel truly loved and supported. It’s not just about housing; it’s about giving them the space to grow, heal, and thrive.
My lifelong commitment to kindness and empathy has been a core part of who I am, recognized by my peers when I was voted “Most Polite” in middle school and “Most Kind” in high school, as well as being crowned Prom Queen—experiences that shaped my belief in the power of connection and compassion.
Through this platform, I bring together my passion for creating nurturing spaces and my dedication to helping foster youth succeed. I am here to provide them with the stability, care, and support they deserve to reach their full potential.
